The Greeneway was built on an abandoned rail road track, and now offers several miles of almost totally flat, car free riding.  The North Augusta Greeneway goes through several subdivisions and is used by many bicycle commuters as a way to get down to the 13th Street bridge and over into Augusta.

The Greeneway has many different users.  Cyclists, dog walkers, runners, etc. all the enjoy the Greeneway, so watch your speed.  This is not the place to be training for an upcoming race.

The City of North Augusta plans to eventually link the Greeneway with the Palmetto Parkway.

Connector Routes:

Some locals have found a way to link the Greeneway with the Palmetto Parkway Bike Path for a 20ish mile ride all the way around North Augusta.  Most of this route is on car free bike paths.
