We’re excited to share that the entire Deep Step Trail is now officially OPEN! The south side has been inspected and approved by the USFS, completing the full trail.
This has been a long haul, and it wouldn’t have happened without a dedicated group of volunteers. Special shoutout to our rootball kings and wizards for their determination and persistence in completing all 82 projects—an incredible accomplishment! Their hard work and commitment truly brought this trail back to life—without them, this trail would not have been reclaimed. And thank you to every single volunteer who lent a hand along the way.
Now… no time to rest on our laurels. The heat and humidity are on the way, and our next challenge is tackling the Big Rock Trail.
