Wine Creek is a 5.5 mile in and out style intermediate trail that is located in Edgefield County, South Carolina between Key Road and SC 283 which contains the paved trailhead. Recommended parking is at Prices Bottom off Key Road if accessing the trail from the southern end.

Though this trail was originally the favorite for novice riders in the area due to minimal elevation change years of flooding displaced the bridges making this an intermediate ride. Rideable creek crossings that are often dry in the summer have been established. These creek crossings, challenging rock gardens, and deep dips will keep riders on their toes.

Trail users will find the most challenging features from 0 – 1.5 mile marker traveling from the SC 283 trailhead. This stretch of trail contains some of the most difficult rock gardens in the CSRA.

The terrain between 1.5 – 4.5 offers some tall roots and a couple of steep and short climbs. There is a notable steep and longer climb through a gully just before the 2.5 mile marker.

The 4.5 – 5.5 mile section smooths out into a comfortable, well-groomed section ending at Key Road. Crossing Key Road and proceeding down the two track brings you to the start of Turkey Creek.

The trail runs along and crosses the scenic Wine Creek. This trail is considered one of the most beautiful in the area.
